Stay Shamwari Eagles Crag offers guests the ultimate luxury & privacy as well as breathtaking scenery over a pristine wilderness area.
The lodge comprises 9 luxurious suites fashioned of glass & stone. These classically designed suites offer uninterrupted views of the surrounding rock faces where eagles soar.
Each air-conditioned suite is secluded so that guests can enjoy the utmost privacy, & includes an en-suite bathroom with bath, shower & outdoor shower as well as a private deck with a heated plunge pool.
The main lodge area includes a downstairs lounge featuring a billiard table, fireplace & a big screen TV. The upstairs lounge has a bar & fireplace. There is also a Relaxation Retreat with a spa, steam room, sauna & gym.
Activities Shamwari’s diverse wilderness area makes Big 5 game viewing easy. The reserve is home to lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo & rhino as well as plenty of plains game & over 200 varieties of raptors & birds.
Daily safari drives are conducted in open 4x4 vehicles. Professional rangers will take you on a journey through the bushveld & ensure close encounters with South Africa’s wildlife. Nature walks, spa treatments & photographic courses can also be arranged.
Guests staying at Shwamwari can also get involved in the Wildlife Rehabilitation Programme or the Born Free Big Cat Sanctuary where the focus is on conservation.
