Sheperd’s Tree Game Lodge lies within the heart of the malaria-free Pilanesberg Game Reserve in the North West Province of South Africa.
Experience The lodge is located within a mere 2 hour’s drive from Johannesburg, allowing easy access for guests driving from the City of Gold.
It is easy to combine a Pilanesberg safari with a Sun City holiday, where guests can enjoy playing golf or swimming at the Valley of Waves.
Stay There are 26 standard rooms, 13 family suites, 4 executive suites & 1 villa.
Each standard room has an outdoor shower whereas the family suites are made up of 2 bedrooms, making this an ideal option for parents travelling with 2 to 4 children. (These suites can sleep up to 6 people each.)
The executive suites consist of 1 main bedroom & lounge area of which can either accommodate families of up to 3 persons (2 adults & 1 child on the sofa) & couples/singles.
The villa comprises 2 rooms, each with an en-suite bathroom & outdoor shower & offers beautiful views over the Pilanesberg Game Reserve. The villa also features a patio with a private plunge pool.
The main area includes a rim-flowing swimming pool, a gourmet restaurant, open decks, a cigar lounge & a spa.
Activities The main activity at Sheperd’s Tree Game Lodge is twice-daily open 4x4 game drives with a qualified ranger & tracker.
Guests can also visit the nearby Sun City to play golf or swim at the Valley of Waves. Spa treatments can also be booked at an additional cost.
