When to travel

Ruaha is a fantastic year-round destination for game viewing. The peak game viewing season occurs during the hot &amp dry weather from May to October when animals congregate around hippo- &amp crocodile-filled water sources. The wet, green season takes place from November to April when the bush comes alive with 570 species of birds and new life. The heaviest rainfall occurs between February &amp April, and during this wet season, you'll find lower rates for accommodations.
