MONWANA LODGE

Jackalberry Lodge is named after the jackalberry tree, a bushveld icon that provides shade & protection from predators. Like its namesake, the lodge offers guests a tranquil safari experience in understated elegance. With a prime location in the Thornybush Nature Reserve, Jackalberry Lodge provides the perfect environment to reconnect with wild Africa against the backdrop of the Northern Drakensberg. The Thornybush Nature Reserve forms part of the Greater Kruger & is home to Africa’s Big 5 – lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo & rhino – as well as a variety of other animals & birds.

Kubili House

Kubili House is a 26,900 sq foot private residence set within the Thornybush Game Reserve, adjacent to the Kruger National Park. The house boasts a spectacular location on the bank of the largest dam in the reserve, attracting a variety of wildlife & birds. This private safari residence offers a safari lifestyle with a dedicated game ranger, vehicle & chef, ensuring personalized service & complete privacy. There is no set safari program at Kubili House. Instead, activities are tailored to guests’ requirements. The residence includes 5 en-suite bedrooms, 3 swimming pools, a spa & steam room & 3 fully equipped camping vehicles.

Monwana Lodge

Situated in a quiet corner in the renowned Thornybush Game Reserve, Monwana Lodge offers wildlife encounters that will take your breath away. This area is home to a variety of animals, including the Big 5 – lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo & rhino – as well other game like zebra, impala, giraffe, cheetah & many bird species. The lodge overlooks a game-packed waterhole - one of the biggest drawcards in the area - so exciting game viewing opportunities can be enjoyed from the comfort of the viewing deck.

N'Kaya Lodge

Adjacent to the Kruger National Park, in the heart of the Thornybush Game Reserve, you will find the intimate & exclusive N’Kaya Lodge. N’Kaya offers its guests the absolute best in privacy & is the ideal destination for a relaxing & peaceful African safari. Frequent Big 5 sightings can be expected. The lodge only sleeps 8 people, making this a wonderful option for an exclusive safari experience. Friends or families can book the entire camp & have a private safari in a beautiful & remote setting.

Royal Malewane

Royal Malewane is located within the beautiful Thornybush Game Reserve, a private concession deep in the heart of the Greater Kruger region. The lodge oozes luxury, style & elegance & provides guests with a grand safari experience where only the best china, service, food & wildlife can be enjoyed. At Royal Malewane there are 2 accommodation options – Main Lodge, which is classic & grand in style & The Farmstead, which is more intimate & contemporary.

Saseka Tented Camp

Saseka is the Tsonga word for Beautiful. Set in the north-eastern portion of the game-rich Thornybush Nature Reserve in the Greater Kruger, Saseka is elegantly positioned on the banks of the Monwana dry-riverbed. The lodge is state-of-the-art, luxurious & imbued with the idyllic African wilderness. Saseka’s design means it is suitable for couples on a romantic journey as well as families with children. It is a small & intimate camp: there are only 8 tented suites plus a 2-bedroom villa.

Serondella Lodge

Serondella Lodge is located within the Thornbush Game Reserve, adjacent to the Kruger National Park in South Africa & is home to the Big 5 – lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo & rhino. Right in front of the lodge, an active waterhole invites plenty of wildlife to come & drink during the day. Because of the ideal location, guests often have excellent game viewing opportunities from the comfort of their viewing decks. Serondella Lodge is small & intimate, so is ideal for couples or a large family who is looking for a private safari experience. There are only 4 luxurious suites, 2 of which make up the 2-bedroom family suite.

Shumbalala Game Lodge

Deep in the heart of the African bushveld, lies Shumbalala Lodge – a luxurious safari camp set in a quiet corner of the Thornybush Game Reserve in South Africa. Everything at Shumbalala is out of this world. From the personalized service, romantic atmosphere, spacious suites & spectacular wildlife viewing, Shumbalala never fails to impress. The lodge wants to remain small & intimate & therefore only allows 8 guests to stay at one time. The luxurious suites are each equipped with an open fireplace, outside shower & private viewing deck.

Tamboti Villa is an exclusive-use safari haven nestled under a grove of Tamboti trees in the game-packed Thornybush Private Game Reserve. The permanent waterhole located in front of camp is a magnet for wildlife, especially herds of elephants & buffaloes, so guests can enjoy excellent game viewing from the comfort of the viewing deck!
